I think the kids enjoyed seeing the skunk come out of the trash bin, after we all thought it was a raccoon. This was a week that none of us will ever forget: Thanks Richard! THEY WERE RIGHT! The easy access to the pool was just a wonderful way for the grandchildren (cousins living 2000 miles apart) to spend fun time with each other: different beach in the morning, pool every afternoon. very thoughtful! I was concerned that the home wasn't on the beach and is, in fact, several blocks away the kids were convinced that the pool would keep the grandchildren busy, so we went with this home as their first choice.
And the owner stopped by to visit and welcome us at the start of the week. It is well provisioned with pretty much everything you'd want for a vacation week, and the owner maintains it in excellent condition. Definitely recommend the home and the area. Surrounding towns are adorable with many shops, cafes, restaurants and ice cream parlors.

There is another local beach on the sound within driving distance with free parking and bathrooms. Beach was surprisingly small with only porta potties, so we opted to drive about 20 min to the ocean beach for $20 a car. Rocking chair porch was so relaxing! Not really in walking distance of much except beach area where there are a few eateries and places to have a drink right on the sound. There was enough room in the house, so we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The outside bathroom, shower and firepit were awesome as was the gameroom downstairs. Other than that, the house was very clean and had just about anything you could need. Two of the four indoor showers had slight bit of mold. It took a few days for the chemicals to kick in, so some pool time lost in the pool. The pool hadn't been maintained but the owner quickly took care of it. Check in and check out were a breeze! The owner came by the first two days to check on how we were doing. Such a lovely place! The house is exactly as pictured - warm, inviting and spacious. Thank you for a truly amazing vacation week!!! Would love to come back for a future summer trip. We would already book again for next year if we had not already planned a different vacation for next summer before staying here. The breezeway off the kitchen has been enclosed, waiting for your finishing. We had no complaints about our stay - it was one of the hardest vacations to leave because it was so perfect. Fully furnished townhome in highly sought after Sea Oaks Condominiums. The owner popped by on the first day to welcome us and show us around - he is lovely and you can tell this is a well loved family home. The adults spent every night out by the gorgeous fire pit. The game room downstairs also provided tons of entertainment on rainy days and in the evenings. There is a lovely beach a short walk/bike down the road but there is also no need to leave the property as the pool and hot tub entertained our kids all day/every day. The house is beautiful in the pictures, but it is even better in person! There was plenty of space and privacy for each family. We stayed at 17 Summer St with 3 families with kids ranging from 5-10.
